Williams, Founder & President As a young adult, Erica N. Williams is keenly aware of the concerns, complaints, and challenges that this generation faces. After losing her father at the age of 11, Erica experienced grief and spent years trying to fill the void she felt he left open by looking for love in all the wrong places. She hoped that she could find a man who would love her unconditionally and not leave her. One day, Erica clearly heard the Lord speak to her. God told her that He loved her and had a great plan for her life. He wanted to use her in a mighty way for His glory, but only if Erica made herself available to Him. On that day, Erica said yes to God and His plans for her life. And she was never the same. On September 12, 2011, Erica made a decision to abstain from sex until marriage and two weeks later was baptized. She refused to let the death of her father or the difficulties of her life define her. Instead, she clung to God’s Word and His vision for her. She endeavored to share the gospel of Jesus Christ to whoever would listen and to encourage others to focus on God and fulfilling His desires for their lives. The mission and vision for Journey to Purity Foundation were birthed from Erica’s belief that God has a purpose for everyone, especially youth and young adults. Erica’s knowledge of Biblical principles, coupled with her mentoring experience, are the foundations upon which Journey to Purity Foundation and thousands of impacted Christian women will flourish.
